Bought this for my son's picture day and he actually kept it on all afternoon without complaining, which never happens with buttons. The plaid looks crisp enough for chinos but he wore it open over a tee with joggers after.

The fabric is incredibly soft yet still looks crisp enough for a nice dinner out. My son loves wearing it over a tee or under his favorite pullover, and the plaid pattern is classic.
